Christabel's Emergency Surgery
As we approach four weeks of seeing charity cats at the Catcuddles Cat Clinic, our big leap fundraiser draws to a close.
On April 29th we saw our first patient, Kirkby. On this same day we received news that calico kitten Christabel had injured her eye after an accident and would require emergency surgery. Days before we could do this in-house, we were fortunate that our trusted friends Medivet Greenwich went above and beyond the call of duty in order to operate after hours.
Accidents happen as kittens learn to navigate the world around them, and though serious was not life threatening due to the prompt action taken. All things considered on the whole little Christabel has done well with the post-surgery treatment and medication, thanks to her lovely, caring fosterers.
Christabel recently moved to her wonderful adoptive home, where her feisty, spicy nature has led to her new name:🌶 Pepper 🌶
Congratulations to Pepper and her new family, and we hope for good news at your next post-op check. Before long we have no doubt you will be bossing your big sisters around, and look forward to watching you grow up!
We be continuing to fundraise to ensure we have everything the clinic needs, but our future donation requests will focus on one specific thing at a time. Today, May 25th, is the last day you can donate to the ‘Big Leap Fundraiser.’
