Feel-Good Veterinary Practices in London
In the spring of 2020, we finally crossed the finishing line: Catcuddles, originally “the small charity with Big Heart”, opened its doors to a new Cat-Only Veterinary Practice in Palmers Green, London N13. Together with the opening of our second not-for-profit veterinary practice, the Tony Welsh Cat Clinic in Hither Green, London SE13 in January 2024, we have been able to help thousands more cats, by extending affordable not-for-profit priced veterinary care to all cat owners.
Catcuddles Vets London are the first Catcuddles activities to be operating on fees rather than donations, though those are most welcome too. We can now help more cats in many more ways, and in the process generate funding for the expansion of our cat work across London and beyond. Your contribution to our income; your vet bill in other words, will not be lining any corporate pockets. Instead, you will be helping treat and rescue many more deserving cats, both at the clinic, at our rehoming hubs and across our fostering network.
Catcuddles Vets London are charity-run. The aim of our veterinary practices is to provide affordable, no-corners-cut vet care to your feline, and offer practical help and advice on cats you may also be caring for, perhaps cats in your gardens or communities. All cats deserve care and all deserve a home that suits them; this is where the Catcuddles Vets London team and the main Charity team work together to treat, prepare, rehabilitate and rehome cats to permanent homes across London and beyond.
Catcuddles Vets London offer a full range of first-opinion services for cats only (sorry doggies!) at an affordable cost to the owner, with a clear conscience, genuine focus on the cat, and with compassion first and foremost. All of our services are affordable to the majority of cat owners and lovers, so that more cats can be given the vet care they need without it having to cost a fortune. Having said that, we have not skimmed on quality or standards, as those of you who do not yet know us will soon realise. So, come say hello, we look forward to meeting you.

Neutering first and foremost
At Catcuddles Vets London, we treat all cats on one condition and in line with the core Catcuddles philosophy: that your kitty is neutered and if not, we offer neutering at a very low cost.
We also endeavour to neuter strays you may be feeding, to help contain cat overpopulation in our city and keep cats healthier for longer. Please submit an appointment enquiry if you wish to know more, or to book an appointment.
Preventative Care, full in-house diagnostics and more
Catcuddles Vets London are equipped to offer not just your annual health checks, vaccinations, microchipping and parasite treatments. We also cater for a whole host of other needs, some evident and some very well hidden by our feline companions. From dentals to blood tests, urinalysis to in-house ultrasound and digital X-Ray diagnostics, life-changing operations to niggly lump removals, we will honestly assess your kitty’s treatment needs and discuss your options being mindful of cost but also respectful of your cat’s needs.
In order to register your cat(s) as a new patient, we will ask that you are happy to keep to the minimum vet care standards set by Catcuddles, the charity that set up these veterinary practices, for all your cats.
In particular, all cats must be (or are booked to be) neutered. We unfortunately do not accept one-off patients (except for emergency treatments) due to working at staff capacity on long term feline patients at present.
Specialist referrals and 24/7 vet care needs
For the kitties that upon examination and/or treatment will require a second opinion or expertise of specialists in their respective veterinary fields, such as orthopaedic surgeons, eye specialists, etc. we operate a referral scheme, as do all first-opinion vet practices. We are working on having visiting specialists within the year, something that is much needed and requested, so we can bring costs of referral services to more affordable levels for our furry customers and their paying humans.
We do not aim to offer 24/7 services in the foreseeable future and for these, we will be linked to a 24/7 vet hospital. If you need emergency vet care out of normal practice hours, please call our number and you will be redirected to our out of hours provider, Veteris. Veteris are our dedicated out-of-hours service, who can provide advice over the phone and specialise in emergency home visits.
