An Update on Leela - Rescued with an Untreated Head Injury

We're pleased to announce that Leela's surgery was a success. A polyp was removed from her ear that was so large it extended deep into her ear canal. The specialist who assisted our Head Vet with this surgery suggested the possibility that the polyp removal may potentially reduce Leela's existing head tilt. She will certainly be more comfortable now.

Further X-Rays will be done at a later date to determine whether any other polyps remain, but right now we are focused on Leela's recovery. Here she is at our North London Cat Clinic post-surgery.

Thank you to everyone who donated to fund Leela's surgery, in addition to her ongoing treatment and care. The response to our most recent fundraising appeal for Leela far exceeded expectations and after some incredibly generous contributions, we quickly surpassed our goal.

It's only with your help that we can make amazing things happen for cats like Leela, who would otherwise continue to be unloved and forgotten for the rest of their days. So, thank you.

This week we have taken in yet another stray in poor condition - just another day at the office at Catcuddles - so watch this space for more news to come.
