Three Kittens Abandoned in Blackheath
We've had a steady stream of calls about stray and unwanted kittens recently, including these three who were abandoned on Blackheath on Sunday, in a flimsy pop up crate in wet weather. The finder of the kittens contacted a local vet who immediately referred them to CatCuddles, and despite being particularly busy we managed to quickly secure an emergency foster carer for them. We suspect that they were abandoned as they did not sell. They are a little underweight.
The kittens are now safe and warm and haven't stopped eating since their arrival, but our thoughts remain with their mother and whether she is safe hands - if unneutered, she will quickly become pregnant again, and who knows if her next litter will be so lucky.
Each cat and kitten that comes into our care requires a health check, vaccinations, flea and worming treatments, microchipping, high quality brand food and litter, and incurs considerable admin and fuel costs. We recieve no funding aside from donations; please consider making a contribution.
