Terminally Ill Cat Emily is Looking for Somewhere to Spend Her Final Days
Emily is an approx 16-year-old tortie & white girl. She came to Catcuddles after a change of circumstances meant her previous owner was no longer able to care for her.
She'd had a mammary gland tumour that was successfully treated two years ago. Unfortunately in recent weeks she has started losing weight, and after tests at our vet's last week, sadly we've found out the cancer has returned to her mammary glands and spread to her liver. Her diagnosis is terminal; she needs palliative care to live out her remaining time comfortable and happy.
We are urgently seeking a special person willing to offer Emily a long term foster home or her last adoptive home. All vet care will be paid for by the charity and provided at our collaborating vet's in Greenwich SE10. It would therefore be important for her fosterer/adopter to be fairly local to this area. You need to be comfortable administering medication (tablets) as Emily also has hyperthyroidism and has daily tablets for that. Full support will be provided by Catcuddles throughout Emily's time with you.
Emily is a friendly girl. She's not too keen on other pets and therefore needs a home without other pets. We want nothing more than for Emily to enjoy her remaining time - whether that's weeks or months - in the comfort of a loving home where she'll be spoiled and happy. She is looking for an indoor only home as she's never got used to going out.
Please contact us if you are that big-hearted person willing to offer that to Emily. https://www.catcuddles.org.uk/cats/emily.
