Eggy Update: Stray Cat Found in Horrific Condition is Unrecognizable
Eggy before and after:
Many of you will remember Eggy, a stray cat we rescued from the streets of Plumstead in a terrible state last December. He was collapsed and weak; poorly with cat flu, his ears were completely scratched raw due to ear mites and infection; he tested FIV+ and was listless and depressed.
He had clearly had to fend for himself for a very long time and had almost given up. At times it was touch and go whether he would make it at all. With lots of daily care from our volunteers and the support of our collaborating vets, over a couple of months Eggy slowly recovered and eventually found the most special forever home.
Well, look at him now! Here is a photo we just received from his adopters this week:
A few months on, in his forever home, he is eating a premium diet and being absolutely doted on by his family. His fur looks amazing, he is playful and cheeky, and loves long naps on his humans. He is clearly living his best life - no less than he deserves of course!
We couldn't be happier for him!
Eggy's treatment was funded entirely from your donations. We are again fundraising to help other cats like him so they too can get their happy endings. But this time we are struggling to reach our fundraising goal. Just £5 from YOU could help make a difference to some of the most poorly stray cats other charities may have given up on. Can you help ensure we can continue responding to emergency situations like Eggy's this summer and beyond?
