An adoption update on sprightly senior Pippa
Pippa spends her days napping, and her evenings paw in hand being adored by her humans or keeping a lap warm. If she ever thinks you’re not paying her enough attention she will gently tap you. She also enjoys finding new sleeping spots. This week she has developed a particular interest in a yoga mat bag!
Calico beauty Pippa will be shortly applying for membership of the #SuperSeniorCatsClub, as she turns 16 later this week, in her final forever home. Pippa’s “birthday” coincides with her arrival at The Catcuddles Sanctuary in January 2021, so who better for us to celebrate on #ChangeAPetsLifeDay.
Pippa is a gentle and friendly cat with a calm and undemanding temperament. Her loving and well-balanced disposition endured in spite of the considerable upheaval she has experienced over the years, being rehomed several times through no fault of her own and coming to Catcuddles at a senior stage in her life. It was a testament to how resilient, adaptable, and good-natured she really is.
It was especially sad for us that Pippa was overlooked by adopters for several months. Presumably as an older cat, and down to her health condition, hyperthyroidism, a common condition among older felines and easily managed with twice daily-medication.
Pippa was adopted several months ago; a “foster fail” as it happens; this bright, curious kitty has a calm energy about her and in the words of her adopters “Pippa is everything you want in a cat. Cuddly, amusing, low maintenance, surprisingly spritely and playful for a 16 year old and most definitely thinks we are her underlings. We love having her as part of the family!”
Pippa’s life was transformed by her adopters. We have cats of all ages and temperaments looking for a loving #ForeverHome. If you are able to offer your home and heart to an adult or senior cat please get in touch via our website https://www.catcuddles.org.uk/adopting-a-cat.
