Adoption appeal for senior cat Diesel
15 year old mini panther Diesel is a friendly, loving cat looking for his forever retirement home. Diesel will make a wonderful companion and will form a strong bond with his forever human(s).
When asked to describe Diesel, it took all of 30 seconds for his fosterers to tells us about the surprisingly sprightly, chatty cat who loves fuss, chin and cheek rubs, who will play when he’s in the mood and follow you around particularly when he’s hungry. Diesel will go from playing with his catnip toys to flopping on the floor relaxing, he’s also a curious cat so enjoys looking out the window. Diesel remains agile, jumping from his cat tree up to the window and back down when it’s time for a cat nap.
Like us humans, most cats don’t reach their mid 70s without some health conditions. Diesel has hyperthyrodism and high blood pressure, for which he receives medication for. Often overlooked due to their age and medical conditions, adopting a senior cat can be incredibly rewarding. Adopting a cat with health conditions requires commitment, patience, and ongoing medical care. However, the love and companionship you receive in return are immeasurable. If you're ready to provide a loving home to a cat in need and are financially comfortable to do so, consider adopting Diesel.
Monitoring at home such as weight checks and vet check-ups are essential to monitor his health but hyperthyroidism is a common condition that mostly affects senior cats; with the right treatment and regular health checks, he can enjoy a good quality of life. Diesel’s health needs and care routine can be discussed further with the adoptions team.
