Acorn and Honeynut
Meet Acorn & Honeynut: playful, bonded sisters
Hello! We’re Acorn (tabby and white) and Honeynut (lighter tabby), a pair of adorable six-month-old tabby sisters looking for our forever home, together! We’ve come a long way since arriving in rescue and while we can still be a little shy, we’re growing in confidence every day. With time, patience, and plenty of playtime, we’ll soon be thriving as part of your family.
Why You’ll Love Us:
Double the fun, double the love: We’re inseparable, whether we’re curled up together in a hammock or teaming up for playful mischief. Bonded pairs like us bring twice the joy and companionship!
Shy but sweet: We may need a little time to adjust, but once we feel safe, we love to be around our humans, whether that’s snoozing near your feet or helping you work (we take turns supervising your meetings).
Energetic & playful: We love to wrestle, chase each other, and even push boxes and flip our cat beds over; it’s all part of our fun!
A little food motivation: Acorn, in particular, is quite the foodie although neither of us will say no to helping ourself to a bit of cooked chicken from your hand.
What We Need:
A calm, patient home: Since we’re naturally shy, we need a home where we’ll be given time and space to settle at our own pace.
A forever family who understands us: With a little patience and love, we’ll continue to blossom just like our mum and siblings have in their forever homes.
Indoor or safe outdoor access: We’d love an indoor home or a home with safe outdoor space we can explore after a long settling-in period.
We’re looking for a spacious, indoor-only home either with or without catproofed outside space, or one with safe outside space for example as part of a network of terraced homes. Providing a safe, enriching space for us is essential and the adoptions team is happy to offer advice on creating the perfect indoor haven to allow us to climb, scratch, play and have hideouts and resting spots. Quality time and playtime are also essentials along with a cosy perch or two for window views.
Any open windows should be securely cat-proofed, and balconies or terraces fully enclosed to prevent accidents. Cats love to explore, and ensuring our safety will let me enjoy these spaces with you worry-free! While cats like us won’t intentionally jump, accidents can happen, so proper precautions are a must. If our new home has a garden in a safe location then we’d purrfur a catflap.
Our Next Chapter:
We’re spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on flea and worming treatments. All we need now is you. We are currently residing within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
